Overview

Strongman Corporation’s Amateur National Championship is coming up on August 29th and 30th in Mesquite, Texas!

We’re excited to announce our official partnership with the 2026 North Texas Strength Expo for the upcoming Amateur National Championship!

Join us at the historic Mesquite Convention Center and Rodeo for two full days of competition on Saturday, August 29th and Sunday, August 30th, 2026. Athlete check-in, weigh-ins, and the rules meeting will take place on Friday, August 28th.

The after party will be the evening of August 30th. All athletes will get one non-transferable afterparty ticket. Additional tickets are available here. We are working on charter bus transportation to and from the after party- details to follow.

Our competition hotel is the Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas-Mesquite. Book by 8/14/2026 to get the discounted rate. Staying in our competition hotel is optional, but it is connected to the venue and at a great rate.

Qualification Requirements

Athletes must qualify for the 2026 Amateur National Championship at a Strongman Corp licensed event. Details for qualification standards are on the Athlete Info page here.

Qualifications Earned

Winners of each pro class (64kg, 73kg, 82kg, and HW for women, 80kg, 90kg, 105kg, and HW for men) earn a pro card, which gives an automatic bid to America’s Strongest Man and Woman every year.

Top three in each class, plus 10% of remaining athletes, receive a bid to the Arnold.

Select classes will be awarded additional America’s Strongest Man and Woman invites as well.

Entries received after 8/8/2026 will have a $80 late fee. Shirts and name badges not guaranteed after 8/8/2026.
Extra shirts need to be in by 8/8/2026 to guarantee names will be on the shirts.

Here are the basics:

Friday, August 28th

  • Weigh-ins, check-ins, and headshot times will be announced closer to the show.
  • Rules meeting is at 6pm.
  • All athletes must check in by 6pm.

Saturday, August 29th

  • Day 1 Events

Sunday, August 30th

  • Day 2 Events

The detailed schedule, including the breakdown of classes each day with times for each event will be posted closer to the show.

Spectator Tickets and VIP/Coach Passes can be purchased directly from the North Texas Strength Expo EventBrite page. These tickets include access to all the sports participating at the expo. There are single day and weekend admission tickets. Purchasing a VIP/Coach Pass will grant you access to the Strongman Corp backstage area, allowing you to be with your athlete during their portion of the competition. There will also be designated VIP seating for coaches, friends, and family members with the purchase of a VIP/Coach Pass.

Please retain your EventBrite confirmation for pick up at the event entry. After completing your purchase, you will receive an email confirmation with your ticket(s) details and a QR code for quick and easy check-in. 

Competition

Competitors will compete in 7 disciplines over two days to crown the Strongman Corporation National Champion.

Weigh-ins will begin Friday, August 28th at 9AM. Location and order of weight class check-ins to be announced. Rules meeting will be at 6PM. Saturday or Sunday weigh-ins are NOT permitted. No exceptions.

Athletes must weigh in at or below the weight class they’re signed up for. There is no additional weight allowance – if you’re competing at 64kg, the scale must show 64.0 kg or less.

The event will be split up so athletes will only have to be there during their assigned weight class sessions. Specifics will be announced closer to the show. Competitors will be reordered based on overall points after each event.
